Scott is a long-term resident of Syracuse, New York and has been a preeminent attorney in the community for over 40 years. He has built his reputation and client relationships on the foundation of integrity, the proper application of knowledge, and honest assessments informed by years of experience. Scott’s “no-nonsense” determination to serve his clients has built relationships that have proven to be long-lasting and have extended through the generations.

Scott’s primary areas of practice include real estate, business and commercial law, complex commercial litigation, and leasing matters. He also has extensive experience in estate planning, estates, trusts and probate, family law, and asset recovery. Scott represents owners, sellers, and purchasers in real estate purchases, sales, and finance transactions for small businesses, retail centers, hotels, and other commercial real estates, as well as single and multiple-family homes. He also advises and supports businesses, charities, and other humanitarian outreaches within the community including lectures at seminars on commercial law, business formation, and account collection strategies.

  • Represents owners and developers, and not-for-profit organizations in the sales and acquisition of real property, preparing and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, and financing in regard to office buildings and complexes, multi-unit residential apartment developments, and industrial properties.
  • Represents businesses in their initial corporate formation, transactions, sales and acquisitions, and reorganizations.
  • Represents condominium and homeowners’ associations in regard to drafting and maintaining by laws and amendments thereto in regard to restrictive development and fair housing issues, and the filing, enforcement, and collection of HOA or condominium charges.
  • Represents property management companies and owners in regard to tenant occupancy and issues of tenancy.
  • Representing retail and commercial landlords and tenants in negotiating commercial leasing transactions including office, retail, industrial, and other real property matters.
  • Representing businesses and individuals in regard to real property litigation matters, including disputes regarding lien priority, adverse possession, partition, and other real property matters.
  • Representing medical, health care, engineering, architectural, and legal professionals in regard to issues of fee disputes issues and collection of account receivables.
  • Representing businesses in regard to business disputes and litigation concerning such disputes.
  • Representing individuals and businesses in estate planning, business succession planning, and estate administration.
  • Presenting Speaker at business development seminars conducted by Onondaga Business Development Center
  • Presenting Speaker at Small Business Development workshops sponsored by SCORE (SBA Resource Partner) in regard to business formation and development
  • National Business Institute-Frequent Speaker presentation for seminars regarding “Rights and Remedies for Commercial Creditor Claims,” “Creditors’ Rights v. Businesses” and other related topics advising and presenting to attorneys and other professionals as accredited by NYS for CLE Credits
