Newman and Lickstein is very pleased to announce that Marla E. Raus has joined the firm as an associate. Marla received her Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law, and her Bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Syracuse University. She joined the firm in January of 2017 after being admitted to the New York State Bar.
While in law school, Marla received a CALI Award for Excellence in both the study of Criminal Procedure and in the study of Decedents, Estates, and Trusts. She also participated in the Civil and Criminal Externship Clinic, where she externed at the Forsyth County District Attorney’s Office and at a mid-sized law firm in Winston Salem, NC.
Prior to joining the firm, Marla had summer internships at the New York State Attorney General’s Office and at another prominent Syracuse law firm.
