Steve Eychner represents corporate clients and individuals in the areas of commercial and business litigation, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, intellectual property, and other corporate matters.  He also advises individuals and businesses in transactional matters related content creation, e-sports, streaming, and athlete name, image, and likeness (NIL) licensing.

Prior to joining Newman & Lickstein, he defended domestic and international Fortune 500 clients in muti-million-dollar product liability, commercial, negligence, and other tort litigation in various state and federal courts.  Steve applies his broad litigation background to evaluate litigation risk and deliver practical solutions in furtherance of each client’s immediate and long-term needs.

In conjunction with his litigation experience, Steve leverages his background working in professional sports and NCAA compliance to assist athletes and their agents in successfully navigating the emerging and ever-changing field of NIL.  At Syracuse University College of Law, he served on the Executive Board of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society (ESLS) and founded the ESLS Sports Negotiation Competition.  He has also contributed to sports law podcasts to discuss the NIL landscape and legal issues in this evolving industry.

Steve is a native of Rome, New York and is an avid fan of Syracuse University athletics.  After residing in New York, New York, he returned to Upstate New York and resides in Saratoga Springs, New York with his fiancé, Kailee.
