Recently, our client, Flox Intelligence, an AI wildlife management technology company, won the $1 million grand prize in Round Nine of the GENIUS NY Accelerator Competition, one of the world’s largest business accelerators focused on uncrewed systems, robotics, and drone technologies.
Operated by CenterState CEO and funded by Empire State Development, GENIUS NY brings promising startups from around the world to Central New York for an intensive year-long accelerator program. In addition to investment funding, participating companies receive mentorship, business development support, networking opportunities, and access to the region’s growing uncrewed aerial systems infrastructure.
Founded in Stockholm, Sweden, Flox Intelligence develops artificial intelligence technology designed to help safely guide wildlife away from critical infrastructure and transportation corridors. Its AI-powered systems operate through edge devices, drones, and rail systems to monitor and influence animal movement in real time.
As part of the GENIUS NY award, Flox Intelligence will establish Syracuse as its global headquarters for North American operations, further contributing to Central New York’s rapidly growing innovation ecosystem and investment in uncrewed aerial systems, advanced air mobility, and emerging technologies.
